Social Counselling and Emergency Care
Social Counselling and Emergency Support
We strive to support you whenever you need help – whether it concerns scholarships, crises of purpose, international internships, learning difficulties, financial emergencies, insurance issues, finding accommodation, or many other challenges.
Exchange & Scholarship Service
We offer personal counselling on Catholic scholarship opportunities for both German and international students.
To support students at the universities in Paderborn, KHG Paderborn has access to an emergency relief fund provided by the Archdiocese of Paderborn.
Financial assistance can only be granted under the following conditions:
-
At intervals of at least one year (minimum interval: 12 months),
-
Only once within the first four semesters,
-
No more than three times during the entire course of study.
The maximum amount of support is €350.
Come early – before it’s too late!
Please try to arrange an appointment as early as possible. In some cases, the approval of emergency assistance may be delayed due to missing documents, processing times, or high demand for appointments.
The financial assistance does not have to be repaid.
However, there is no legal entitlement to financial support.
Not eligible for financial assistance are:
-
Participants of German language courses,
-
Students enrolled in a preparatory college (Studienkolleg),
-
Students enrolled at universities outside of Paderborn and FH Hamm-Lippstadt.
